Both parties are working on the fix, and are quite determined to have it completed soon. Once the fix is finished, it will be released almost straight away, with a QuickPwn or PwnageTool type app soon to follow.I have jailbroken my 2G touch and, while the tethered requirement sounds very annoying, the only times it really affects me is when I have to restart after installing certain applicaitons from cydia.
